Urgent: Vote NO on the Seal Hunt! Vote NO on the Seal Hunt! More than 300,000 seals will be killed this year alone. Please visit our website to learn more.
I need your help now to show the Canadian public that the majority of Canadians are opposed to the cruelty of the commercial seal hunt.
Yesterday, Fisheries Minister Loyola Hearn announced an increase in the Total Allowable Catch in this years Seal Hunt: more than 300,000 seals will be clubbed or shot to death on the ice this year; 95% of the seals killed will be under three months old.
This mornings CTV broadcast of Canada AM featured interviews with both Minister Hearn and Sheryl Fink from IFAW. After the show, CTV posted a poll on their website asking viewers Do you support the seal hunt? The poll is in the top right corner of Canada AMs home page.
Please dont let the sealing industry win this poll. We need to send a strong message before the hunt begins that Canadians are tired of paying for the largest slaughter of marine mammals in the world.
It takes just a few seconds to vote NO on the Seal Hunt but the suffering of seals will continue for years to come if we dont speak out now.
Please Vote NO on the Seal Hunt, and show the Canadian government its time for the cruelty to end.
Sincerely,
Fred ORegan
P.S. Please forward this message to as many friends as you can and ask them to Vote NO on the Seal Hunt now!

Worried about Donating online?
I used to be too ... so I made sure our online system is safe, secure, and state-of-the-art. It also eliminates check-processing costs, so more money goes directly to saving animals. But if you prefer to donate by phone or mail, simply click here for address information.
NOTE: To make sure you continue to receive further emails from IFAW, please add fred at ifaw1.org to your email Address Book.
