[4animals] KFC demo update

Just wanted to update anyone who is participating
in the demo (or thinking about doing so). I have
obtained a pair of crutches to go along with the
chicken costume. I also have the permit secured
through the City, and the police are also aware
of the demo. The demo pack from PETA should be
arriving this week, so we will have our
ready-made signs, etc, and I have a couple of
letter-sized photos (one of a baby chick's beak
being cut off, one of several dead chickens
hanging at the slaughterhouse) to tape/glue onto the more plain-looking signs.

I have given a few of the demo announcements out
in my community, but am not sure if they will get
posted - they had to get approved first, and of
course everywhere I went, the person in charge of
that was not present. I hope other people are having more luck with that.

The media information is being put together, and
we have sent an announcement to the "Metro"
paper, which gets distributed all over the city for free.

The only thing we did not end up discussing at
the Green Door the other day was slogans to shout
out - I have some ideas after doing the demo with
PETA in Toronto, but I am sure you guys have some
good stuff too - maybe something to go along with
the Kick the Bucket theme. Does anyone have a
mega-phone? That can really get people's attention if we want to.

If I have left anything out, or if anyone has
some other ideas that will make the demo even
better, please let me know. Thanks!

Michele
