Back to ecology ...

A presentation (description below) that i really got into, discussing the
economics, a wee bit about the ecology, and the practicality of replacing
fossil fuel with pure ethanol. I ended up watching the entire hour although
10 minutes of it will give you a good idea of what he's talking about.
Fascinating. Did you know Brazil is already more than half switched over to
ethanol, the technology is here today and it's very cheap. Did you know the
additional cost per car to allow pure ethanol use is around $30. Did you
know we'd all save 30% at the gas pumps if we were on ethanol, and that
likely prices could fall from there. It also seems using cellulose derived
ethanol avoids a lot of ecological issues the current corn derived ethanol
has and actually sucks carbon out of the air and pops it back into the
ground if you use the right plants.
